The influence of Y - type zeolite cationic composition on the model hydrocarbons transformations in the presence of heterocyclic sulfur and nitrogen compounds in the catalytic cracking conditions

The effect of the rare earth elements (REEs) content in range from 0 to 3 wt.% in the cracking catalyst on n-undecane and cumene transformations in the presence of heterocyclic sulfur and nitrogen compounds was studied. The catalyst samples acidity increased at raising the REEs content in the catalysts up to 2 wt.%. The catalyst acidity was sharply reduced with a further increase in the REEs. This phenomenon led to an enhanced conversion of the feed and a decreased formation of highly poisonous nitrogen compounds. The relative conversions of n-undecane and cumene in the presence of nitrogen and sulfur compounds were 95 and 97 rel.%, accordingly.
