Phase morphology of polymer blends plays an important role in affecting the foaming behavior and cell structure. In the present work, polystyrene/poly(methyl methacrylate) (PS/PMMA, 60/40) blend was selected to study the effect of phase structure evolution on the foaming window of the binary polymer blend. Through controlling the thermal annealing for various times to induce phase separation in the PS60/PMMA40 blend, the phase morphology evolution can be controlled. The batch foaming approach was applied to get the samples
