(EP2736340) 1. A method for controlling nematodes comprising applying to a plant and/or a locus for plant growth an effective amount of Bacillus subtilis QST713. 2. The method of Claim 1 wherein the applying is preceded by identifying that the plant and/or the locus for plant growth needs treatment. 3. The method of Claim 1 wherein the locus is soil. 4. The method of Claim 3 wherein the Bacillus subtilis QST713 is applied pre-planting, at planting, in furrow or post-planting. 5. The method of Claim 3 wherein the Bacillus subtilis QST713 is applied at a rate of 2 x 10 **12 to 6 x 10 **13 cfu per acre corresponding to 8.09 x 10 **11 to 2.43 x 10 **13 cfu per hectare for soil drench treatments or 6 x 10  **10 to 4 x 10 **12 cfu per 1000 row feet corresponding to 1.83 x 10 **11 to 1.22 x 10 **12 per 100 row meter for in-furrow treatments. 6. The method of claim 5 wherein the rate is 1 x 10 **13 to 6 x 10 **13 cfu per acre corresponding to 4.05 x 10 **12 to 2.43 x 10 **13 cfu per hectare or 7.5 x 10 **11 to 4 x 10 **12 cfu per 1000 row feet corresponding to 2.29 x 10 **12 to 1.22 x 10 **13 cfu per 100 row meter. 7. The method of Claim 3 wherein the Bacillus subtilis QST713 is applied to the soil in contact with plant roots or soil at a base of a plant. 8. The method of Claim 7 wherein the Bacillus subtilis QST713 is applied as a single application at a rate of 7 x 10 **5 to 1 x 10 **7 cfu per gram of soil. 9. The method of Claim 8 wherein the Bacillus subtilis QST713 is applied as a single application at a rate of 1 x 10 **6 to 5 x 10 **6 cfu per gram of soil. 10. The method of Claim 5 wherein the Bacillus subtilis QST713 is applied in multiple applications at a rate of 2 x 10 **12 to 6 x 10 **13 cfu per acre corresponding to 8.09 x 10 **11 to 2.43 x 10 **13 cfu per hectare for soil drench treatments per application. 11. The method of Claim 7 wherein the Bacillus subtilis QST713 is applied in multiple applications at a rate of 1 x 10 **5 to 3 x 10 **6 cfu per gram of soil per application. 12. The method of Claim 1 wherein the Bacillus subtilis QST713 is applied to seed. 13. The method of Claim 1 further comprising applying a second nematicide. 14. The method of Claim 13 wherein the Bacillus subtilis QST713 is applied in combination with the second nematicide at planting and Bacillus subtilis QST713 is applied alone in subsequent applications. 15. The method of claim 14 wherein the second nematicide is oxamyl and wherein the subsequent applications take place at intervals of from 10 to 18 days. 16. A composition comprising Bacillus subtilis QST713 and a second nematicide selected from a biological nematicide which is a formulated product.
