(JP10182310) PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a sustainable underwater antifouling agent capable of preventing foulings from adhering to structures in seawater, especially, fishing nets, ship bottoms, seawater inlet channel walls for a long period.  SOLUTION: This sustainable underwater antifouling agent comprises, as an active ingredient, a (co-)polymer with a weight-average molecular weight of 3,000 to 400,000 obtained by polymerizing a polymerizable unsaturated monomer having a sulfonic acid group with a higher aliphatic polyamine having an animo group shown by the formula (R<1> is an 8-28C saturated or unsaturated aliphatic hydrocarbon group which may be substituted with a &beta;-hydroxyl group, or an 8-28C saturated or unsaturated alkoxy lower alkyl group; R<2> is H or a group of the formula: (CH2 )a NH2 ; (a) is an integer of 1 to 6; and (b) is an integer of 2 to 4) with or without adding another copolymerizable unsaturated monomer thereto.
