(FR2426674) This invention relates to novel N-substituted or N,N'-disubstituted cyclohexene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid diamides of the formula <IMAGE> wherein R<1> is hydrogen or fluorine; R<3> and R<4> can be the same or different and each can be hydrogen, lower alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, aralkyl, amino, alkylamino, dialkylamino, alkoxy, alkenyloxy, alkoxycarbonylamino, alkoxycarbonylmethyl, or <IMAGE> may form a cyclic amine which may contain oxygen atom; R<2> is halogen or <IMAGE> where R<5> and R<6> can be the same or different and each can be hydrogen, or methyl; R<7> is hydrogen, halogen or lower alkyl.  The compounds have excellent herbicidal activity and may be used for selective weed control.  (From GB2023137 A)
